“Breakfast With God” was conceived a decade ago as I sat in my early a.m. quiet times with my coffee and Bible, journal and pen, talking, listening, reading, and journaling anything I “heard” in the midst of an otherwise chaotic life. As I munched my gluten free bagel and sipped my steaming “cuppa joe” one morning before work, it occurred to me that what I was really doing was having breakfast with God. Encouragement from a close friend (read: threats to steal and publish my journals if I didn’t start writing and publishing on my own) birthed my blogging life.

I believe in the power of the written word to transform lives. I’ve experienced this impact myself as I have read words others have written and as I write my own words for others to read. Eric Liddell said, “God made me fast. And when I run, I feel His pleasure.” God made me a writer. And when I write, I feel His pleasure. I am on the road to fully discovering this truth about myself.

As a gluten free chef, some of my former clients include Wolfgang Puck’s Spago Maui; The Four Seasons Resort, Maui; and many, many satisfied private clients who sought (and found) the very best in freshly prepared gluten free products. (Yes, I made those gluten free bagels in the above photo…) God also made me a cook and I find enormous satisfaction and pleasure in the creation of the highest quality gluten free foods that are pleasing to the eye, palate, and the digestive tract.
